How do pawnshops make profits?

Why do 'Anonymous' wear Warner Bros 'V' masks that make profits for that corporation?

  • Yes I know the comic and film very well, so I understand the mask philosophy; but seeing as Anonymous are anti-corporation, anti-commercialism, anti-capitalism and anti-consumerist why do they persist in wearing a copyrighted mask based on the film, which directly contributes to the profits of Warner Bros when they buy it? Even the author of Vendetta gets nothing from the masks; it all goes to Warners. Surely it's better to make your own mask, or set up a co-op to make blank face masks for everyone Anonymous, or buy a blank face mask instead? It's a great symbol, but it doesn't make sense adding profits into Warner's pockets! Don't any Anonymous people get that wearing it is a huge contradiction?

Your point is valid except for the fact that the V mask if worn by an oganization of political protesters, not Anonymous. Anonymous is an underground hacking organization that nobody has physically seen. They've never been seen wearing anything because their hackers.

I poked fun of this when the muppets first started wearing them. actually guy above Anonymous left a flash 'man in a Fawkes mask' during on of their attacks.

also it is a Guy Fawkes mask, they guy who wanted to reintroduce the oppressive rule of the Pope to england.
