Why is there a crisis in Kenya?

Can anyone explain the second stage of genocide in relation to Kenya?

• I'm doing a report on the crisis in Kenya and shockingly I have found out that it is already up to stage 6, preparation, in the 8 Stages of Genocide, and this is only after not even 3 months! But I can't find anyting on how the Luo and Kikuyu tribes symbolise each other. On genocidewatch.org they said they are on stage 6, but I can't find anyting to explain how they got onto stage 2. If someone can even just point me to a site it would be a huge help...

  Question: is this whole "eight stages of genocide" an actual concept that you have studied in class or just something genocidewatch.org uses? Because if you haven't been studying it in class then I would be reluctant in focusing on these stages very much. I'd rather apply relevant concepts touched on in class. I'm assuming you are a college student here by the way, but I guess the same goes for high school, but it wouldn't matter as much. As for general information, you might have already checked it out but Wikipedia is always a good place to start. It won't be 100% accurate but it is good background info and the external links and references down the bottom are a gold mine. Use them to get more in-depth info. Also try using the Google News search by entering terms specifically relevant to what you are trying to find out. Good luck.
