War graves destroyed in Lybia?
-
Some islamic extremist group in Lybia have destroyed war graves of our soldiers who were killed in WW2, but also destroyed muslim graves too. Do you think we should just stop helping out these Arab countries if this is all the gratitude we get?

Answer:
There is no excuse for the desecration of any grave site. Nothing in the Koran, nothing in the Bible. No excuse can ever be accepted. What has taken place is the work of the Devil and the perpetrators of this evil crime against the saviours of Libya will pay dearly for their evil crime. They will be barred from Paradise for ever and cast down into the everlasting fires of Hell. I understand how difficult it must be for the peoples of Libya to come to terms with their new found freedoms. Liberty and freedom does not include the rite to desecrate a grave, not even that of an enemy. In death, we are at peace and that peace must be respected for all time. Once there may have been some sympathy and support for the people of Libya from the people of Britain. That sympathy and support is rapidly ebbing away. As an old soldier of the British Army, I will not ever forgive those who destroyed the graves of our brave Heroes of the British 8th Army - destroyers of the Afrika Korps. Islam is getting an even worse name as these sort of events continue.

I most certainly do! I also think that the scum that are verbally supporting these barbarians should go back to where they came from instead of supporting them from a distance and claiming benifits from over here!

Yes. And Syria would be no different. And repatriate all those who had trouble with the former regime.....they should go home now. And the Syrian activists in Britain expecting the UN or NATO to do their dirty work while they live in safety. By that token the Iraqis should go home too.....but no chance of that is there?

And these 'scumbags' wanted/demanded the West 'helps them' get their recent (so-called) democracy - which they never achieved anyway - they all becoming part of the ex Gaddafi problem themselves.!! The supply of OIL to the west dictates the acceptance of all and any actions these 'stone-age' morons take - the west offering-up excuses etc so's too keep on side of these 'new' armed fanatical regime followers. These middle-east 'stone-age' countries hold the 'whip hand' - and unless the west is inclined to 'go-in' and control those countries....more of the same will happen in the future. The whole issue in the middle-east is about the supply OIL - no matter how the west disguises their interference....ie offering 'help' to the peoples so 'they' can obtain their (so-called) democracy - no matter these western governments don't even offer 'that' too its own peoples.!! I'm all for letting these stone-age countries 'stew' in there own mess - BUT - without OIL the west grinds to a halt - so (somehow) an acceptance level by the west has to be reached (whether we like it or not) I just don't need these western governments too 'keep-on' bleating about their 'false reasons' for doing that....ie: helping the peoples. Gratitude counts for 'nothing' - supply and demand outweighs any other reasoning - that is a fact of life.....right or wrong - good or bad.!!

Ignorance blind ignorance. I'll never understand why people do this to graves, especially to the graves of servicemen who fought to stop Hitler, because be no doubt without British, American and all the other nationalities of the servicemen of all faiths that made up the Allies of WW2 who fought and died to stop Hitler and his Armies in the Middle East, there wouldn't be any Arabs or Muslin's left to desecrate these graves. The vast majority of em would have been exterminated by the Nazi's, and the ones that were left would have been made slaves of by the Germans. So it makes you wonder sometimes why we bother, it really does.
If it weren't for all that freak in' oil they just happen to be sitting on, we would have just left them alone to kill each other, like they have been doing for a thousand years.

No. There are always a small minority of arseholes in every country that want to ruin it for everyone else. You could have asked the same question of the americans burning the Koran.

yes ,we should stop helping Islamicists seize control of oil, due to some misguided concept of human rights

They are undoubtably extremists, who have acheived precisely what they wanted to acheive, publicity by this stupid and barbaric act. But, just as the radical right wing Christians who murder abortionists and picket soldiers funerals, one really should not regard all muslims or Libyans with the same brush, after all, they might turn out to be Gadaffi loyalists. Hopefully the Government will be able to find them and try them for these acts.. Sick people.

If we have friends to help, yes we should help them. But in the case of Libya, we had no friends there before and we don't now. Same with Syria: whoever we help, all factions are anti-Western. The West has it's sphere of influence. Let like-minded people have their sphere of influence in the Middle-East.
