How much should paying for over staying?

Who exactly is paying for the Villa the McCanns are staying in because .....?

  • according to the Guardian. "With the small town's beaches now packed with holidaymakers, the couple face a besieged existence behind the high gates of their villa, loaned to them by friends." So have they been given the villa for free by friends? I thought they had hunted around for ages looking for one, did one of their friends suddenly go 'Oh thats right Gerry, I forgot about my apartment in Prai De Luz. Would you like to use it?' OR Are they paying rent on this apartment (like I suspect) which then conveniently goes into the pockets of friends and family. Are they paying market rates for this apartment? Share the wealth hey Gerry? Now do the Pro-McCanns see the problem about having a fund that is not transparent and open to scrutiny?

They can do what they like with this fund money, it's just not right, it's like thie own personal bank account, it should be open to scrutiny, i would not trust the Mcanns, they neglected their children & lied, so why should we trust them with this? they are now two rich people.

The fund is a joke they are a wealthy family , and could of got compassionate leave paid for this was their second biggest downfall the first one was being bad parents

I do not see a problem with a fund that is not transparent. People donated because they wanted to. You are speculating again Davo that they are paying rent, you don't really know if they are do you?

The Portuguese press reported a few weeks ago that the villa was provided free by the Portuguese tourist board.
