Joseph Kony and his men must be stopped! Amidst all the hype around the YouTube video, there have been a great number of people that have mobilized in the name of the "invisible children". In Northern Uganda, warlord and founder of the LRA Joseph Kony has been kidnapping children for 26 years, turning the girls into sex slaves and the boys into child soldiers. Kony has ruthlessly forcing young Ugandan children to kill and mane hundreds of people. Unfortunately, because Kony is manipulative and hides in the Ugandan rural areas - he has not been captured. Kony faces several counts of crimes against humanity: putting him in the same category tyrants such as Adolf Hitler, Muammar Gadafi, and Augusto Pinochet. Non-profit organization "Invisible Children" has begun a campaign to urge the nations top policy makers and social icons to make "Kony" a household name to stop his regime that is now spreading to other parts of central Africa. OR NEGATIVE: Joseph Kony is no longer a threat and the organization "Invisible Children" is using the cause to gain attention and money Young people are becoming exposed to ads and media that persuade them to buy and market their products. Often at times, teenagers are targeted because many of them feel as if they are easy to persuade. The current "Kony 2012" is just another ploy to get young people excited about a cause that is not longer existent and get them to use social media. Talks of the organization's dubious money management have been raised. Many claim that Invisible Children donates very little of the 8 million dollars they raised this year, towards actual effort in Central Africa.
