Is it true that the Ministry of Transportation in Ontario is changing the minimum age from 16 to 18?
-
I have been hearing horrible rumours from friends of mine (who are getting their licence this year) that Ontario is going to change the minimum age you can get your licence from 16 (1993 and before) to 18 (1994 and later). Now, that's bad news for me, as I was born in 1994. Somebody, anybody, tell me that's not true! I want to drive next year!(grumble grumble)

Answer:
I have checked the insurance bureau of Canada and they state that this rumour is almost always started at the beginning of the year. There is no information to substantiate that rumour on the official Government Website. So for now rest easy.
