    Apna Bazaar' mooted for promoting rural business By Our Staff Correspondent MYSORE, AUG. 29. Bibek Debroy, noted economist, today proposed the idea of setting up "Apna Bazaars" under public private partnership (PPP) at panchayat levels to create a rural business hub. Making a presentation on "Rural business hubs through panchayat raj institutions" at a round-table conference of Ministers of Panchayat Raj, Dr. Debroy said the establishment of apna bazaars was a step towards realising the country's dream of a prosperous rural India. Dr. Debroy, who is the Director of the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Contemporary Studies, New Delhi, said the process of establishing apna bazaars could be initiated by the taluk panchayats by inviting proposals from prospective investors.
