How do I monitor the activity of sockets?

Does Anyone Know A Way A Parent Can Monitor A Tween/Teens Yahoo IM Activity Remotely?

• My daughter is 12 going on 21. I finally agreed to let her have her own Yahoo account and user ID with the agreement that I always have access to her password. I've been monitoring her activity setting the archive log in Yahoo IM. It worked out well for awhile, but I think one of her friends showed her how to change the settings because more often than not, it always seems to be cleared out when I check it. I can't prove it. but call it parental instinct. On the weekends, if she doesn't have a friend staying here, she stays with a friend house. And like kids her age do, they chat constantly on their computer to others (I'm sure mostly boys, I was 12 once too). Is there a way I can remotely keep an eye on what her activity on Yahoo, even if she is using another computer than ours? I wish Yahoo provided a parental log with a separate password. She's a good kid and I trust her for the most part, It's the perverts on the net that I don't trust.

  It sounds like you are doing a good job so far. I honestly don't know what else you can do besides what you are already doing but just keep communication open with your daughter. Its when they start being sneaky that you have to worry. I commend you for trying to do what is best for her. Too many parents these days don't try very hard because its easier to let them do their own thing. Not easier in the long run nor best for the child. I agree Yahoo and other websites could do a better job of keeping parents in the loop. Good luck to you.
