How do I become more motivated?

How do I get my boyfriend to become more motivated?

• I'm 19, in my second year of college studying pre-med, and my boyfriend is going to be 21.. I feel like he just is not motivated and does not consider the future. He just has the attitude that everything that he needs for his future life is already in his hands.. He is a roofer, and there is nothing wrong with doing that, it is a good trade, but he only works once a week or every other week. I just do not know if that will change if we ever do tie the knot.. I am just concerned for my future, I take school seriously and want to become something with myself for a good life for me and my family. I just feel as if he does not care about his future.. I know school is not for everyone, but how can I make him see the importance of actually considering your future?? (sorry this is long)

  Why would he want to work? He has a potential sugar mama studying pre med and going to make hella bank. Tell him that if he sees a future with you, and your future involves kids I assume, he is going to have to show that he is willing to work towards your future. Not just his, but yours together, otherwise there is no future.
