How can I ask my mom if I can have a boyfriend?

I need to ask my mom if my boyfriend and I can live together?

I'm going to be starting my third year of college this upcoming fall and my boyfriend of 2 and a half years doesn't have a reliable roommate, and if he can't find one by this upcoming fall he's going to have to move in with his parents in ANOTHER COUNTRY. He asked me if I wouldn't mind us living in together, I said no but I have to ask my parents, their not paying my rent or tuition or anything, I pay for everything myself, but I feel I should have thier blessing. How should I approach the situation, and do you think it would matter if I tell her we're trying to find a 2 bedroom so we won't be sleeping in the same room?

yeah, i think it would be cool to give them a heads up , seeming your paying the bills , this will help you and your bf with paying the bills and you will be together , let your parents know that you will be roomates making it affordable for both of you. thats all they need to know.
