If you aren't living on your own, without mom&dad to give you money and take care of you, then you aren't ready for a baby, and getting married, so that the baby has the life that it deserves. A bird builds a good nest first, then lays an egg. Our nests are a good house, good jobs, and a good relationship between the future mom and dad. The other one, that most people miss, is the feelings that come with sex. When you have sex too soon, you get feelings of attachment that don't match real life. It's like someone sprinkles love dust on you, and it changes your behaviour, and makes you feel closer to a person than is natural. Ya ever hear someone say that a person is mean, rude, crazy, lies, cheats, but the sex is good? That person is hurting themself, but the sex has made them feel connected without reason. It should take time to feel close to a person - it keeps you from being in a relationship with someone who isn't good for you, isn't trustworthy, eats all the food in the fridge, or just is plain psycho. Sex ruins that, and puts you too close, too soon. When do you get there? Not when you're 18, usually. 21 sometimes. 25, probably most of the time. Most people not mature enough at 25 have probably had sex anyways, just not with very good results.

Well, that all depends. Is the person mature enough to handle the possable outcomes? This also has to be looked at in the person that this will happen with. Is there a MAJOR age difference? Or are they both near the same age? What I am getting at here is that there is no set age that it is ok to have sex, barring anything under the age of 15 or 16. There are some (though rare anymore) that hadn't had sex untill their mid-twenties.
