Could you give me vocal advice?

What advice could I give her or...maybe should I give him an advice?

• ...though to give him an advice would be more difficult than to give her an advice. I'm not saying that it's easy to give her an advice, because if you tell her the truth, I mean, if you tell her what you really think, she'll get upset with you, too. The two persons are both friends of mine and they are married, they also have kids. So, she cooked last evening something that he says it gave him stomach pain, which was true, because he kept going to the bathroom every 10 minutes. This food she cooked didn't give him any trouble before but now it did. And he asked her not to cook this kind of food anymore, but he also added that she's been cooking differently since Christmas (you know, the food people have for Christmas is usually a bit more heavy to digest). Now about the first thing (not to cook that specific kind of food) he told her I'd say it's OK and normal, especially because it wasn't good for him. But she's still very upset because of the rest of the food. How could I help?

  It sounds like his body is just not tolerant to certain types of foods or he could of just had the 24 hour flu bug or he may have IBS (irritable bowel syndrome). I would have them try the same meal a few months down the road and see if it happens again. Either way, they need to compromise, since she does the cooking it sounds like most of the time, then they both should sit down and plan out the weeks menu, maybe even he should cook one night each week.
