How much should paying for over staying?

What should I do? Fiance constantly staying at my house and I think he should start paying some $?!?

  • Ok, my fiance stays at my house the majority of the time. He lives quite a distance away and sleeps on my couch as I have a 10 year old daughter. He cancelled his satellite reception and his landline telephone. He puts his laundry with ours so I end up doing it. On occasion he will buy food or soap, etc. but uses it along with our shampoo. My utility bill was pretty high last month and when I said something he told me he didn't have any money. BUT he always seems to have cash. He just took us to an amusement park and spent money I wouldn't normally spend on my daughter as I could use that for bills! I drove but he did give me $40 for gas. He also "tries" to help by doing the laundry which I have told him not to do - he puts in small loads which cost more. In my opinion he should do other things like take out the trash or mow the lawn. I'm still paying my neighbor to mow my lawn for me yet my fiance is always around! (I'm allergic to grass so I can't do it myself.) What should I do? Am I getting annoyed for no reason?

dont listen to Tom i think he should! hes taking advantage of you! ask him and explain why! if he has a problem with it then hes not very nice! a real man should actually offer to pay the bill! if he still doesnt tell me him to get out its really not fair

No. You need to get rid of the man. You need a man that is more useful. If he doesnt have a job but always seem to have some cash, he could be getting paid by other women OR be doing something illegal. I wuldnt want him around your daughter.

It sounds to me as if he is using you and sponging off you. You should really face him with this, and discuss it. You need a few sensible house rules. If you marry this guy, he won`t change his ways. He`ll probably get worse. So nip it in the bud, and start off as you mean to go on.

unless he is literally MOVED IN like his FURNITURE and he doesnt have another HOUSE you can't tell him to do anything. But if he is MOVED IN ask him to HELP because if he can't now, he wont EVER do it. your gonna have a couch potato husband while you MOW the grass and he laughs as you break out in a chorus of sneezing and hives :)

From what you wrote I'd like to suggest you pack his bags and have them on the doorstep tonight BUT there's always more to the story so... You need to get your thoughts together on paper. Write the pro's and con's. (reasons for the relationship, reasons your unsatisfied with relationship, costs of maintaining your home, costs of maintaining his home, things he should do and things he should not do.) Once you have a sheet on him make a sheet on you. (What you get from the relationship, what you give to the relationship, what he does that drives you crazy, what you do to ENABLE him to do those things. ) Griping is easy and accomplishes nothing. If you think you want to keep the guy then get your facts together. If you still want this guy after looking at the facts then sit this man down & review your findings. The rest is easy, make a game plan and put it in action!
