Need help/advice on keeping a guy friend, and making more guy friends. I'm a geek?

Is there a solution, to put not having friends to an end? Im 20 years old, a student at a community college, and work part-time. I've always wanted to have dozens of guy friends, and i joined a group at my college this year. I made friends with this cool guy, but he's hasn't spoken to me in a week or so. He tranfering to a university in the fall, and I'm praying that we'll stay friends. I've always sucked at making friends, and last spring I went through depression sick and tired of not having friends. I still haven't gotten a girlfriend, and this "not having guy friends" is putting my life on hold. I love the beach, but never go because I have no one to go with. I'm just a 20 year old guy that loves football. I tried making friends with this dude last year in one of my classes, but he ended up being an a$%whole. I want to get revenge on him, but cant figure out how to. Clubs dont always work, and not having many friends is a pain in the as$. ADVICE?

Answer:
I'm sorry that you having a hard time making friends but don't get discourage. You need to come out of your shell more and just approach people. Whether their girls or guys just start up a conversation. It doesn't matter how old you are or whether or not your a "geek". Anyone can make friends it just a matter of approaching the right people. You should be cautious who you talk to because they may seem nice but then later will stab you in the back. That's good that you signed up at a club at school. I would just be more open and introduce yourself to other people. Don't be scared! Life is too short to not take any chances. If they turn you down then move on to the next person. Its not the end of the world. Also try to take out new hobbies and activities to try to get out of the house. For example, singing up to the gym, taking up a sport, or even getting a job. Oh yeah, and don't worry about that other kid who stabbed you in the back or treated you wrong. Karma is a trip. The best revenge is to pretend like you don't even care. The best piece of advice I could ever give you is to be yourself! Don't change yourself for no one. Its only a matter of time before you do meet new friends but you just need to take some action! Don't give up! when one door closes another door ALWAYS opens. Best of luck!
