Are there any safer options than a keylogger?

My son read his wife's emails (keylogger) She's romancing an old flame.Maried 13 yrs Have a son. His options?

• My son (40) and his wife have been married 13 years and have a 10 year old boy (who's of course oblivious to what's going on.) Apparently, the old flame's a guy my son's wife (37)had a fling with 10 years ago. The guy (33) has a live in girlfriend who actually called my son's wife & threatened her with bodily harm for chatting up her boy friend. My son just recently discovered that his wife emails,/IM's & calls the guy regularly and has bought gifts for the guy and maybe given this guy money. After just finding out about all this info very recently, my son confronted his wife and she confessed to still communicating with this guy, but doesn't want a divorce. Also, could my son have legal problems since he obtained his wife's email password by using a key logger program to record it?

  i feel really bad for ur son, no one deserves to go through what he is going through, with that said... stay out of it!!! no offence but it is ur son n his wife problem n u shouldn't be involve.. at the end of the day he's going to do what he thinks is best for him n his son!!
