Name change after marriage in new jersey?
-
Me and my fiance are having a civil ceremony in new jersey. When I change my name to his last name, what do I have to do. Obviously, take the marriage certificate to the DMV. Also, to the social security office. Is there anything else i will have to do to legally change my name? As far as my bank goes, just take the certificate there? Also, if I wanted to change my first name also. Is there anything else i would have to do? thank you so much a head of time.

Answer:
First SS, then DMV, then everything else. I don't know if you can change your first name when you get married, I believe you have to go thought court.
