We are not getting along...will it get better when he gets a new job or shoud i leave him? he was laid off?

Oh, Darlin', BEEN THERE! It's rough, really rough when a man is unemployed especially if he's the kind that takes pride in working and taking care of you...when my husband couldn't find a job for a while and I was making pretty good money at a job I took to fill in the gaps while he was looking, things got so bad between us that I damn near walked.... he found a job, I got fired from mine and things are much better! Hang in there, Sweetie. This is one of those things they warned us about when they made us promise "For better or worse" and it will get better.

One of the biggest esteem hits a man can take is to be unemployed (and I speak from experience). I'm unemployed now, and my girlfriend is exceptionally understanding and caring. I am not mean to her, but sometimes it really bothers me when she wants to go out and foot the bill, I don't let her do it unless the absolutely wants to go bad, and I told her why, so she's understanding. She's been very creative in trying to disguise things to to "at home" and I love her for that. She allows me to feel worth without being a "charity case".

Sometimes it deosn't get better...and although "for better or worse" exists; you need to ask yourself the following question. Regardless of how you are getting along now; is THIS man the person who's eyes you would want staring back at you if you were on your deathbed and terrified? If they are....work on it! and HAVE FAITH!
