How to keep conversation going well?

I'm like...totally clueless as to how to keep a conversation going. Adviceplz?

• SOYEAHH. I've never been in a relationship, but my friends all got close to their bfs on facebook & myspace and craap and idk how that even starts. XD And even just talking to my friends over the internet gets a little awkward, because I'm not exactly good at keeping a conversation going, and IDKK. DD: What are some tips to keep a conversation going? Face to face and over the internet?

  I know exactly what you mean... It's hard to know what to talk about. Do you talk to anyone without awkward silences? ...a sister, cousin, mom or other family? I think if you relax and not expect to have weird pauses maybe you'll think of more to say. Talk about things you like and are interested in... things you're doing or planning on doing. Have a party or do things with your friends more often so you have memories to talk about. The more you do and the more you do together, the more you'll have to say. As far as guys go, it's a little harder. The best thing I've found to start talking to guys is to comment on something funny or nicely tease them about something... Then they'll start talking to you and you can use common questions to start a conversation. Asking questions shows people you're really interested in hearing what they have to say and then they'll ask you back and that's all there is to it!
