How do I show my friend she can get a better guy?

• There’s this girl that I used to attend high school with and become a good friend with and stay in contact even since she moved out to attend a university. She just moved back here almost two months ago after receives her degree. I’ve always really liked her and would love to be in a relationship with her and share my life with her. But she is incredibly picky about guy, so if she ends up with a decent guy, I’d be happy as well. But not long after she moved here, she met this guy who is very into Buddhist or Dao thing. I always assume he’d be some humble, nice and down to earth people. But when I met him a couple weeks, it was like a punch to the stomach. This girl is about 5’10, this guy is only 5’6 or 5’7. He also looks pretty scary. He has a lot of tattoos (around upper half of arm, upper back, back of neck, and lower leg) along with scars. He doesn’t give that nice friendly feeling off at all, in fact he look at people like as if he’s daring them to try something so he can knock them off their peg. Later I found out that this guy was in army for a long time and have served in some kind of psychology special force before go into rangers and got out just a year and half ago. When asked why he got out, he just shrugs and says the whole war has got pointless to point where it pretty much go against his belief. But he works for some contractor as a bodyguard for people in middle east! My friend acts like he’s such a good person and talk about how nice he is and everything! Then I just found out today that he’s taking her to Thailand next month so she can go to Buddhist refuge to become a Buddhist and get some kind of tattoo that is suppose to serve as a spell from a monk! This is so stupid since there’s absolutely no way he’d even be allows anywhere close to the temple! Also I can’t believe she settled for this guy! How do I show her she could get better guy, not some hypocrite emotionless jerk who claim to be spiritual!
