How can I give the best answer in Yahoo answers?

How could i give better answers, here in Yahoo answers(to be chosen best answer)?

  • Answer:

Answer only questions you know the answer to be factual or acurate. Do your research on the internet before responding. However, even with all that... there's no guarantee that the person asking the question will select your answer. I resonded to a question, the person below me responded, "the person above has the correct answer" and the Asker selected his answer... go figure. So just answer to the best of your knowledge. Also, don't create other yahoo accounts to vote on your own answer. Not only is that game pointing (and against the rules), but there isn't anything more frustrating than looking for a legitimate answer to a question from the past and finding stupid responses were selected by votes as a result.

Other answers

Actually look up the information before giving your gut instincts. Use complete sentences. Do not use slang. Name your source. And vote on all your past answers.

Blunt Honesty

Take your time and give responses that are mature and sensible.

stick to what you know

Some knowledge of the subject matter helps. Just be real. You'll do fine.

Put a little more thought into the answer. Some answers are picked because the answerer wrote more than anyone else.

By not asking stupid questions.. LOL Just kidding. I guess it's mainly good advice and lots of luck :-)

Mother of One

Be the first or one of the first to answer Stick to what you know. Give sources if possible. Pick a forum where you know more than most people about the topic, and make yourself known there. Use proper grammar and spellling. Take a friendly and helpful tone, even if the question seems stupid. If it's worth your while to answer it it's worth your while to answer it well. Go into sufficient detail but don't be overly long and rambling. Keep your answer about them, not about you. It's ok to go back and edit your answer if you think of something better, or if it turns out you were wrong or didn't explain something properly. Give thumbs up to other good answers, and vote sometimes. It's ok to vote for yourself, but ONLY if you HONESTLY feel that yours is the best answer. Vote for other people's answers sometimes too, if their answer is as good as yours or better. What goes around comes around. Hope this helps.
