'Thank you' gift ideas?

Does anyone have any Thank You gift ideas?

• Our friends opened thier home up to our family while we waited for a place to live. So far we have spent 3 weeks with them. They have even let our dog stay, despite the fact that thier dogs do not get along with ours. I want to get them a meaningful Thank you gift to show them how much we appreciate what they have done for us.

  Well, you can cook them a great dinner, clean their house, do the chores and make the house look great for the dinner. You can also invite friends of theirs and then surprise them. As a bonus, you can give them a gift basket for their dogs. Then make a speech for the toast and tell them how grateful you are for their kindness. I'm sure they'll love it and see how appreciative you are for their friendship. If you don't think that's a good idea, have one of their friends throw them a party at their house and still give them a gift basket.
