What food or medicine stops early greying?

I've been taking care of my suppost to be best friends dog for 6 months now she never calls or stops by?

• She's got a car now and she never stops to take her for a walk or brings her food or takes it to the vet and our animals have gotten sick from her dog. My mom text her 2 weeks a go and I ran into her in a car lot (she already has a car) so when told her to call my mom that's when she decided to call. An she even told me she got the text and promised to bring medicine but still hasn't. (the conversation on the phone was cold) I feel like I've been an amazing friend to her i've driven her to work in another city, let her live with us, let her borrow money (she hasn't payed me back) and now it feels like she's using me. I know she had a hard time at one point but now everything is going great so she acts like she doesn't know me. All I want her to do is take responsibility for this dog she begged my mom for when she lived with us and promised to take care of. I see her driving around buying things for her, the car, and her boyfriend. My family's at the city limit for the amount of dogs we have and i'm starting college. We use to call each other sister and were inseparably but now I'm ready to grow up get started on college right out of high school. I dont want take the dog to the pound because i want to start volunteering cause i want to work in a field animals. An pounds are over croweded. I'm just really hurt and don't want to end our friendship but I feel bitter and want to know what to say to her next time I see her. The New Years starting and I don't want feel angry when starting college.

  Diana, You are enabling this person to be a freeloader. She used you, and has moved on. She is not fit to own an animal, as she is not responsible enough. I would not take the dog to the pound, but I would try to find it a good home. You can put ads at the vet's office, on Petfinder, and pet exchange boards. Also, if it is a purebred, or even has a dominate breed, google the breed name and "rescue' as there are rescue agencies that specialize in certain types of dogs. I foster sometimes for puppy mill rescues, and for Lhasa rescue. Lhasa rescue takes Lhasa's, Shih-tzu's and other small breeds. You can go to petfinder to find a list of no kill shelters in your area. If your friends dog is small, it has a better possibility of being adopted. Just be sure and check out the potential adopter if you find an individual wanting it, because some people pose as people wanting to adopt, and then sell animals to labs for testing. You need to give your friend an ultimatum and a time line. Tell her "you have X number of days to pick up your dog, or we are putting it up for adoption. You can kiss the money she owes you goodbye. If you are worried if the dog will actually be taking care of by her, tell her she can't have it until she pays you for it's expenses. If she doesn't do that, give it up for adoption. Your mother is responsible in this too. She should know better than to let a child adopt an animal when she has no home and no car. She had to have known she would end up with this dog. I am sorry to say, but I don't think you will ever get your money back. If it is a large amount, tell her she needs to start making payments.
