How can I be a better friend?

  • What I think I'm like: I smile often, and try to be as nice as I can... I try my best not to forget birthdays either (though I have to admit, I've improved but I still definitely have the WORST memory)! I'm pretty sensitive to people's emotions, or at least I hope. I don't think of myself as a mean person. However, I still have a drive to accomplish things for myself, so I guess I'm only half a doormat (Did I mention my lame sense of humor? lol). How can I improve, as far as being a better friend? People see me as fake, insincere, boring, or just "too nice". Though I guess the last is a compliment, it can make things extremely awkward. Do you know anyone personally who seem's just "'too nice' to be true"? What could that person have done to change your opinion of them? I'll appreciate any input! Thanks (in advance).

    show your real self. don't pretend to be someone you're not, people just don't trust people who are so perfect .. they need someone they can relate to. hope this helps :D

I thnk that you sound fine to me... but i am really outgoing. so just surprise your friends by doing something wack one day and you wont be predictable( not that im saying you are or anything but maybe it'll help just don't be to obnoxious)

be yourself it's just like being president of this country some people think geogre bush is a bad guy but his not, no one man can fix every problem, because we don't really fix the real problems in our country, society decides how things go their just to buzy complaining
