What's a trainee assistant manager?

I need to write a complaint letter on one of the assistant managers at my job?

  • Ok so two weeks ago we had a mandatory meeting at my job . We discussed that commission was being distributed incorrectly. So we came to the agreement that starting that day we would initial everything we sold(in this case shoes and we would initial the shoe box). The next day when I get to work two of the sales persons were having a discussion about how the assistant manager that was working that day was still giving herself other peoples sales. We decided to ignore it and speak to our store manager the next day but it was more than obvious that one of the girls was really upset. Well then our assist. manager comes to the back of the store where the girl and many of our costumers are and begins chewing the girl out. In between the yelling she cussed at her saying " i dont give a rats *** if your mad" and that if she didnt like it she could quit. After that i had a lady ask my for a number to call and complaint about what had happened. Then hours later I was going around asking customers if they were doing ok and I had a lady tell me that our assist. mang. had yelled at her and she also asked for a number. (by the way i gave them our store number and told them to ask for store manager). After everything that happened our manager took of to get some lunch when she knows she is NOT to leave the store under any circumstance unless there is another manager on the floor. Then she was on her cell phone (and at the meeting we were told we could no longer have cell phones at work). So the next day i spoke to our store manager and she asked me to write a letter discribing what happen. Whats a good and proffesional way for me to do so? Also what should have been the consequences for our assis. manager??

  • Answer:

You assistant manager sounds pretty bad. When you write the letter state facts only. Don't use words like " I think ", or any subjective words. Stick to what happened, what the customers said, and what the assistant manager said. State only what you know for a fact. Keep is simple and straight forward. No opinions. Best of luck.
