Are there any jobs for 16 yr olds?

I started babysitting when I was 12 and had my first "real job" at 14 so yes, there are plenty of places out there ;-) It's really going to depend on the area you live in, what kind of work you'd like to do, and how much money you need to make. Check with the guidance counselor at your high school a lot of schools have summer work programs where they will find you a job (if they can't they'll put you to work at the school) you only make minimum wage (which varies by state) but you're guaranteed 40hrs/wk during summer. Fast food places love to higher kids and you can arrange to stay on for less hours once school starts back up in the fall. If you live in a small town just go to the retail stores/diners/etc... and just ask if they're looking for summer help. If you're a quick learner and never had a job don't worry just make sure to point out your strengths, any volunteer work or clubs you are in at school and don't be shy talk to your parents they will be your best alli.
