How do you find out if a chain store will be opening in a new location?

• Rumor has it that the store I work for is closing in two months and a chain store that I know the name of is moving in. I tried googling the name of the chain store added stuff like "opening new store" and the street address but I didn't turn up anything. Is there some way of finding out? I haven't tried emailing that chain store but I don't know if that is worth doing.
