How do i get a job at the post office?

• I am looking for a part time job in the postal field where I don't have to take the exam. Kind of like a per diem thing. I heard its where I would work saturdays and days when the others are sick or on vaca. I am hoping for something where I just apply, get a background and drug test, and start. No exam really. Does such a job exist? Where can I download the forms online? where do i send them? and what is the form called if you have any idea? please help. thanks

  www.usps.com/employment You can look to see if there are any casual positions available in your area. The type of job that you describe is more like a Rural Carrier Relief position. In that, you work when the regular carrier is off. However, I believe that you still need to test for that sort of position. a casual, works for a specific hourly wage but there are no benefits.
