Who delivered the Gettysburg's address?

USPS delivered package to wrong address?

• I ordered an item from a private seller in Miami, FL and he shipped it to the CORRECT address in CA. He gave me a tracking # and I was tracking it for 2 days. On the day that it was suppose to be delivered to my house, I tracked it online and it stated the package in "STATUS" said "DELIVERED" but it was shipped to wrong zip code, according to online tracking. I went to local USPS and employee stated that mailman usualy MANUALLY enters zip code when delivering packages? Is that true? So the employee stated that the mailman may have made a mistake entering the wrong zip code. The package was delivered to zip code 92058, and I live in 92056. The city is the same for both zip codes. I confirmed with seller and he shipped it to CORRECT address. What's the possibility the same address exist in different (but close) zip code? This all happened YESTERDAY and I just posted this question today. I checked online, but the STATUS was still on DELIVERED which makes me think that the package DID NOT return back to USPS facility, but was actually delivered. But then again its only been a day. The seller did not have INSURANCE, so if USPS did ACTUALLY DELIVERED it to the wrong adddress, are they liable or the SELLER/ME?

  Hold tight. You haven't rec'd it so you aren't responsible. Prepare to call your credit card company or your bank to put a hold or cancel your check if this is not resolved by Mon.
