I think the two other people are bonkers (just kidding). The ads you see are most likely for organizations/businesses that sell test information. The Post Office here in Iowa only gives the test every few years. It's been two years now I think. Once you take the test, you go on a list based on your test score. The higher the score, the sooner you'll get called. There are full time and part time positions. In most places, you start as a part time flexible. You can work a variety of hours (instead of set hours). How long you are a flexible employee varies from place to place and depends on the need. The Post Office is a great job -- if you want to make better than average wages and you don't have a college education. The PO in some cities are working around the clock processing mail, so a lot of jobs require working nights and weekends. Last year, I made more than $60,000 including night shift differential, Sunday pay and overtime. Not bad for an entry level job. If you want to find a job with the PO, I suggest going to www.usps.com and checking out 'careers' on the gray stripe at the bottom of the page. The USPS does not recommend paying money to learn about the test. It might help you score better on the test, but it won't help you get a test or get a job. Good luck.
