Question about background check?

Emplyment background check question?

• i'm in the process of getting a new job. They have proceeded to doing a BG check. My question is what is exactly done in these checks? I don't have any criminal history and they don't check credit. The only thing i may be worried about is that I didnt include my my last and most recent job on my resume or application. i only had for a very short period( 2mo's) of time so i didnt include it. Will this show up on any background check?

  I have spent the last year 2 years researching and testing background check services for a consumer review site (http://www.CompleteReviews.net ) and in that time have run tons of background checks using many different companies. This depends on how in-depth their check is. Usually they simply verify that what you reported on your resume/application is accurate and that your references check out. I would assume that during the interview process they would ask you about the lapse in employment over the last couple months but you could certainly come up with something. It would be pretty hard for them to find out about a job you did not report...
