What is a 'Direct Thermal Label' for shipping?

What am i doing wrong with this UPS shipping label?

  • I bought a new laptop and I have to send it back, and the company emailed me a shipping label. the UPS instructions say "2 copies of the ups internet shipping receipt will be printed along with this label" and are required to submit a claim and is proof that ups accepted the package. the label includes those instructions, and the label itself, with a link on the bottom that just brings up a UPS error page.. whats up with this? do i need the receipt to send the package?

  • Answer:

Make 2 copies of the label they sent you in addition to the one you put on the package. If there is a problem with the shipment these will be proof that you sent the package and you will probably have to send them to a claims department address. Take the package to any UPS store (you can even give it to any driver you run across) and ask them to verify what I told you. Chances are there will be no problems and you can throw them out after the laptop company verifies receipt.
