How does the post office notify a part-time rural route carrier that they are working?
-
I just graduated from college and live with my parents 90 minutes away from the post office I am applying to. I don't feel like renting a place closer until I can be guaranteed more hours. How do they typically notify that you will be working? Do they call the same morning? The night before? How exactly does it work? It was not really explained to me. I go to fill out paperwork next week (and I am not sure how it proceeds from there). Thanks for any help.

Answer:
Yes, you would be called in via the phone.Hopefully it would be the day before, but sometimes it could be 4,5 or 6am in the morning also.
