Has anyone ever had an envelope stuffing job?

Does anyone have any information regarding stuffing envelopes as a home based job?

• I am searching for any information that would better explain how stuffing envelopes works for a home based job? I have searched around the internet, and all I can seem to find is 'kits' that representatives want you to purchase that contain lists of companies that hire for that line of work. What I am wondering though moreover, is how it works as pertaining to getting the materials. I have seen a few sites that said companies from other states will mail the supplies to you, and others where you pick up the supplies from a local company. I have basically zero information as to how you get started, other then sending off for those kits. Does anyone have any information that would help clear up some of this? Do you do it locally? Can you work for a company in another state? [If anyone in the Blount County area of East Tennessee has done this, who locally is hiring/paying for these kind of jobs?]

  Check with the chamber of commerce, or a local printer (copy shop), Elections are coming up as a local candate. don't go to a service. Alot of these types of jobs online are scams and I hate to break the news to you but adults with special needs are usually given these jobs with a service company. I have a teen with special needs....and I was given a tour of a place where they did this. NOT THAT MY KID WILL DO THIS...It is like a legal sweat shop. I was a manager at a KINKO's and we had a lady who would do this for us when we had a job. she charged 2 cents per envelope. luck to you
