Are there any job programs available for felons in Charlotte, NC? If so, where?

I need some help finding my friend who is a felon some work in Charlotte NC?

There are a few that I would suggest: -Joblink, not just for people with felonys. On the corner of S.Blvd and Tyvola. Great Resource! -Jacobs Ladder, a week long educational program that assists in finding employment. You should be able to find there contact info. in the phone book. -ECO- Employment Commited to Offenders, typically for people with multiple felonies. At any of these places, she should ask about the upcoming job fair. There is a short training that must be completed to go but I have heard it to be very successful. Good luck!

I don't know of anything off the top of my head but http://www.volunteermatch.org/ has a list of volunteer opportunities - you could look through it and see whether any of the non profits listed offer those services.

Depends on what the felony is for...rape? Child abuse? What? Only knowing that could we truly help... That said though...construction jobs are usually the easiest to get with a criminal record...such as painters, electricians, plumbers, or helpers for these craftsmen....or prep work in a restaurant... I am a NC native (now living in Coastal NC)....Charlotte has a good job market...but it would really depend on the crime he/she committed and their level of education...
