Toys r us orientation?

I got hired by Toys R Us today and i have a question hopefully someone can help me?

Hi I just got hired by Toys R Us today, part time, seasonal, they said it could be moved to full time if they like us. Here is my question, i hope someone here can help. after we left the orientation today they said they were going to call us for our schedule by the end of the day today. i got a call about an hour ago and i will start work Friday 4-8pm. is this normal? will i be given more hours in the next week or so? i was hoping for more hours but since im new i dont know if this is normal. if anyone was given only 4-10 hours on their first week then i wont feel that bad. please help.

well depending on your age they might not want or need you around that much because.. i mean...... who WOULDNT want to work in a toy store!!
