Massage Envy Scam: Is this Legal?

• My mom bought my husband and I a gift card for a couples massage at Massage Envy. They told her it would be 49 each and then when I went to make the appointment, they suddenly changed it for me to 78 because I use to be a member. Can they legally change the price, and does it matter if I use to be a member? The lady was rude, and I'm looking for any information to prove them wrong.

  Read the Terms and Conditions on the gift card. It's legal to charge an introductory price if someone is a first time customer, for example. I also don't know what your membership contract stated but if it said something like after your membership expires you must pay full price for all services then it's completely legit. But without seeing either the gift card or the membership agreement it's impossible to say I know Massage Envy is a legitimate company with branches all over the country
