Can I use a post office box to keep stuff,like money and important documents, how safe is it? note: the local banks don't have safe deposit boxes

i would ask the post office.. but i seriously doubt it... its meant for mail not storage. i cant understand how your banks don't have deposit boxes... that doesnt make any sense unless they are TINY branch locations in a supermarket or something... thats retarded.
