How to get a job at the us post office?

  • Does any one knows, how to find a us postal service job, ups, post office. I need help, I want to know how to start, I know that I have to take an exam, but how do I start and who to contact about this matter, the post office and where do I sign for applications.

After creating your eCareer profile on USPS.com http://about.usps.com/careers/welcome.htm (it takes a while, its basically a long application) you can then search for job opening in your area. I found it best to just put in the state and scan through the opening for places near you and then decide if its what your looking for. After applying, if you need a test, they will send you an email for scheduling it. It might be easier to get your foot in the door as a TRC, you wont need the test. You can always take it later once you have been working there. I just finished my group orientation, my background check and drug test. Going on the one on one interview this Wednesday.
