USPS lost my package! what to do?

• Hey y'all So I bought a pair of shoes from shoes.com, but using Amazon. They sent my package and I was following every movement of it until it said DELIVERED! I was excited so I was waiting for fedex but then I read and it said it was delivered through USPS at 10 30 am Yesterday so I went out and checked my mailbox and there was just one package, but it was a different package no my shoes. it was something smaller, So I thought that was weird and so I went to the apartments office and asked if they had a box or something for me and they said no, so I went back to my apartment and checked the outside and no signs of my package... I called USPS right away and told them what was going on and that I was worried that my tracking number shows my package was delivered when it was not.. and he said it was kind of late and that I should call back early in the morning so they could contact my mailman. So I called this morning and a different person ( the meanest woman ever) answered the phone and so I told her the whole situation and she didn't even ask for the tracking number she asked for my address and said 'be right back' and then when she came back she said that my package was delivered, that my mailman said he delivered a package and so I told her I did receive a package but that was NOT IT... and she just said The website says it was delivered and you got it.. you got what you got and that's it! so I said OK GOODBye in a I'm pissed off kind of way. So I waited for my mailman and I asked him myself.. he was actually very nice and he said he does remember delivering a package but it was a small one, but he doesn't recall delivering anything that looked like it had shoes in it! SO he knows he didn't deliver it.. and I still have the envelope of the other package proving its not the shoes!.. ok sorry for rambling on, but I wanted to give you every detail! .. now I contacted shoes.com and they said I have to wait 5 days so they can take further actions! but I want to figure this out now and I mean yes the website says it was delivered but EVEN MY MAILMAN AGREED THAT HE DID NOT DELIVER ANYTHING bigger enough to have shoes in it! SO do you think I should call back and tell them about this? or should I wait on Shoes.com to do something! I really dont want to lose my money.. ! Help please
