How can I become a mystery shopper?

• I have heard of it and it sounds like a good job that I would enjoy. Where do I begin? Do you know of any real mystery shopping jobs in New York state that would hire a 16 year old? I've seen many sites that require a membership fee of some sort, which to me sounds like a scam. Could I have a little guidance?

MysteryShop.org is the best place to get information about the industry. Mysteryshop.org has a Question and Answer Section. MS shoppers will also have questions to be asked and answered. It is FREE to be a Mystery Shopper. (never pay to shop) The pay is low. Most shops pay between $3.00 - $5.00, more, depending on the complexity of the shop.
