My tracking number isn't working?

I ordered a new pair of TOMS on Tuesday and i have been trying to track my shoes since(5 days). But whenever i put down the tracking number it says, "UPS could not locate the shipment details for your request. Please verify your information and try again later." What does this mean? And how will i be able to track my shoes?
