When you are hired on a salary, is it legal to dock the pay when the employee has legitimate medical condition?
-
when i was hired, i was told i would be payed as a salaried employee, but when i came down with rheumatoid arthritis and had to take off for doctor appointments, i have been docked on my paycheck? is this legal?

Answer:
Yes!!! You were hired that salary if you indeed work a certain amount of hours per week (full-time). If you are NOT working full-time then your employer can subtract an amount he/she feels is appropriate.
