Does anyone know a good acting agency around st. louis?

Do you know of any acting classes in St.Louis, Missouri Area?

• I am trying to get more into acting, and I would really like an acting coach. I am not a bad actress I would just like to become better. I would like to preform on Broadway when I am older. O f course I know there is a chance I won't, and i do have a fall back plan I just really love acting. Thank you!!!!

  So I'm guessing maybe you're a teen ager??? Stages and The Muny both have great summer programs. St. Louis University and Webster College have wonderful programs, but don't dismiss the community colleges. John Goodman went to Meramec, you know. You could call one of the colleges, and ask for the theatre department. Sometimes the teachers or graduate students give classes. If you're 17 or 18, you might consider a company like Little Theatre on the Square in Sullivan IL. They have a great program all year, and in the summer there are a lot of high school students. I worked there when I was in my 20s. I was a dancer, and I did a lot of costuming which helped me earn a living once we got to New York and I realized that a good dancer from St. Louis is just one of a zillion good dancers in New York. And I'm really short too. My sister is a working actress here. She did one Broadway show back in 1979 or so, and she works all the time now. She's appearing in Menopause the Musical right now, and she's been working at the Muny for over 30 years, but not this year since she's busy. She's also done shows for His-trionics (I forgot them, the History Museum's company), the Avalon Theatre and Stages, as well as some voice over work and the occassional commercial. She also choreographs musicals at high schools around town, and fashion shows for charities. There's work to be had, if you're willing to find it. Start trying out for plays, and if you don't get cast work the crew. Be around theatre as much as you can, because every day you'll learn something new.
