Where can I work with animals at 13?

Where can a 13 year old volunteer with animals around Seattle?

  • I really want to work with animals, but I am only 13. Are there any shelters around Seattle that let younger people help? I don't actually live in Seattle, but about 30 min. north in Bothell. So somewhere no farther south than Seattle would be preferable, and no farther north than around like Everett. I have a lot of experience with my pets, and am willing to do any type of work with any kind of animal, but I do really love cats! :)

    You could ask PAWs in Lynnwood, Homeward Bound in Woodinville, the Humane Society in Bellevue or the Everett Animal Shelter. All are near bus lines so you should be able to get there from Bothell.
