I live in Olympia WA. What can I do around here?

Can anyone tell me the best area in Olympia, WA to live is?

    North Oly, its closer to Ft. Lewis meaing the area has a better up keep(military loves there community), and more jobs. and shopping and all the normal daily living stuff

Since he'll be working in Shelton, I assume that there is some reason for not moving there. The housing market over in Mason County has been pretty reasonable, and you can get a larger, nicer home in that area for less money than almost anywhere else around the Sound. Someone earlier mentioned Ft. Lewis, so I'll assume that the poster knows something I don't, which is that you are either on active duty or are working on the base. That being the case, you might want to look around the Lacey/Olympia border. Good access to the highway for both of you, and an area with some nice homes in a wide range of prices.

If your husband is going to go to work in Shelton then try McCleary. It is a small town and the rent prices are small. Most of Olympia is not as bad as the bigger metropolitan areas. I personally like the smaller communities.
