Summer jobs for 13-14 year olds?

  • I am 13 and will turn 14 in September. I would like to get a job so that I am less dependent on my parents and have something to do this summer. I don't want the normal jobs like babysitting, lawn mowing, ect. If there aren't any jobs for people my age then where could I volunteer? Thanks so much, Rosalie

    You gotta wait until 14 year old if your want to work and you could not mow lawn either, it is a prohibited job for teenagers. If you are 13 year old teenagers * You can deliver newspapers. * You can work as a baby-sitter. * You can work as an actor or performer in motion pictures, television, theater or radio. * You can work in a business solely owned or operated by your parents. * You can work on a farm owned or operated by your parents. If you like animals, find a local shelter to volunteer at - they need you BADLY !!! You will learn a ton, and This will look GREAT on your resume for the rest of your life , and is a great chance to spend your last free summer doing something useful. Trust me, stay young and have fun rather than jump into working at something horrible like mcdonalds or hardeez !!

Do you like animals? Maybe you could walk dogs for people that are too busy. Or advertise to keep an eye on property & homes while people are vacationing. ( Collect the mail, and just make sure no-one has broken in and so forth.)
