  • Answer:

You have a very attainable but difficult challenge ahead. Here is what you must do: First: Develop a business plan PRODUCT-What are you selling, product or service? How is your product or service unique and what value does it bring the buyer? Create a brand image or statement that attracts people? Why would I as a stranger want to buy your product? Is there a market for your product or service? PRICING-How will you make money with this product or service? How much do similar products or services cost? Are you selling quality for a bit more cost, or value for a lesser cost? What type of margin are you looking to make? Do you want to make a flat say "dollar" per product sold or do you want to make say "10%" profit per unit sold? Will you be giving a portion of your profits to help others? People need to know about that. PLACEMENT-Where will you sell your product or service? Will people be able to see it, touch it, feel it, hear it... PROMOTION-How will people know about your product? Why would they buy from you versus other similar products or services? How will you communicate value to potential buyers? Will you promote your product word of mouth? A shopping mall? Google adwords? A Newspaper? EBAY? OK NOW, YOU HAVE NO MONEY...WHAT DO YOU DO? You must simply start small and build your business from the ground up. It's all about keeping your costs as low as posible when you start out. Find as many free or low cost resources as possible. If you are an artist and are selling paintings or drawings, make just a couple of them first and as inexpensive as possible. Your labor, or the amount of work you put into it will dictate how much profit you make. High quality = more prospective consumers and a better price for your work. Price them competitively and sell them at a very inexpensive place. EBay, craigslist, a local flea market, art festival, an urban park with lots of foot traffic, a sidewalk. You be creative where you sell your product or service. AN ALTERNATIVE TO THIS... Get a partner who believes in your product or service. They can help you fund your business. Usually those who are willing to fund your business can help mentor you through the painstaking start up proccess. I highly recommend you find a mentor or partner that will push you and give you the right advice. Don't be afraid to ask 100 people for their opinions...DON'T EVER GIVE UP IF YOU BELIEVE IN YOURSELF. Starting a business usually requires many failures before you succeed. If you need help with money, use www.sba.gov Network with people using...Linkedin.com, facebook.com, myspace.com Use your local chamber of commerce, attend business mixers. Network with everybody you can. Collect business cards, e-mail addresses, websites. Don't be afraid to copy or mimic somebody who is already successful. "The best form of flattery is mimcry" SOME IMPORTANT THOUGHTS OWN YOUR RESULTS DON'T GIVE UP STOP MAKNG EXCUSES, JUST MAKE IT HAPPEN DONT GIVE UP FOLLOW SOMEBODY ELSES LEAD WHO HAS ALREADY BEEN SUCCESSFUL DON'T GIVE UP NETWORK WITH EVERYBODY DON'T GIVE UP GOT THE POINT?
