How does a criminal background work?

How do I work for a company that performs background checks/criminal records?

  • I have my A.S. degree in Criminal Justice, and I was told that I can work for a company that does background and criminal checks on people for employment. However, I cannot find a single company! Can someone give me some insight on which companies hire the most and how I contact them?

    Contact police departments and ask who they use. The IRS or other agencies that require background checks. That will give you some of the biggerones to work for with more opportunities.
