Where can I find a job in the Toronto area?

I live in the Bay Area and my only crime is 1 DUI- How can I find a JOB?

  • I really need a job. I've worked in the medical MMJ field for about 10 years; I know everything there is to know about that plant. In this state, compensation for work is LEGAL; I was recently laid off from a collective. I am also very good with customer support and computers. I cannot program, but from an end-user perspective, I can built a computer from parts. I've already tried the "big boys" - all the stores in a box. They all require online resumes which take longer to fill out and even longer for them to get back to you. I have some college but MOSTLY experience in customer service; I've worked in promotions (concerts), medical industry (MMJ), the computer industry, (worked for several ISP's) - but I CANNOT get a job. I live right outside of Livermore. I am willing to commute up to 200 miles daily but I really, really need a job and the job boards are useless as is Craig's list. I know this is a TOUGH economy, but I am down to my last dollars here and I want to contribute to society and start working TODAY! I have excellent references, and can start any job immediately but can't seem to find anyone to hire me. As stated, I'm 32, with SOME college, lived in California's "bay area" for just over two years (originally lived in Ohio), and I really, really NEED work right now; any suggestions? Thanks to all and God Bless- I really REALLY need work and but now. Thank you for ANYONE that can point me in the right direction. Thanks again, to all that help and take this seriously. THANK YOU! :) -Doug

  • Answer:

Make sure you're signed up with Linkedin. It's really the best job networking site around here. Target and Orchard Supply are both solid places to work and they hire regularly. You should also check into job networking sites back in Ohio. Something might turn up. I wish I knew more about what the medical MMJ field is. I was going to suggest you find out who the local hospitals buy from and check with those companies but that might be a lame suggestion. Good luck. Sorry everything is so hard right now.
