I would like a volunteering job where you can work with pets in the city of San Diego(poway)CA area?

I ABSOLUTELY LUV animals! My friend and I were looking for a volunteering job where you could: groom pets, walk pets, and etc. We searched online for some opportunities, but it says that our parents have to accompany us, but that is not possible. We are looking for a job that you can be the age of 13-14 .If you have any places, or ideas you would like to share please send me the answer. I really hope that my friend and I could find a volunteering job that doesn't require parents assistance, and still work with pets. THANK YOU very much!

Check Helen Woodward Animal Center. It is bit west of where you live, but I've seen teen volunteers. (I do volunteer there)
